And then there's this little gem. I don't remember exactly when we took it, but it's fun. Don't tell Cathy it's here, okay? She's not quite as amused by it as I am.

I guess it would be wrong to not include a couple pictures of my son, Alex. On the left: Flex-O-Dad and Flex-O-Kid... how could you not stuff Mom's Christmas stocking with something so cool? And on the right: Mom was testing the camera... somebody felt they needed to be in the picture.

   

Here's a good shot of me writing times at a very cold Solo II in Wichita, KS in November 2000. Two pairs of socks, a pair of sweats under my jeans and that Air Force field jacket kept me warmer than most. (I'm still a Floridian at heart.)

Got together with some friends in the Miata club for a group wash n' wax session in July 2002. Here's a shot of my very clean car next to my friend Jan's almost identical car.

Here's a not-as-good shot of me in the car late in 2001. Notice the addition of the Rota wheels and the roll bar. Also notice the advanced driving technique (looking ahead). Unfortunately, I still haven't figured out how to drive the car.

I only have two more things to share with you right now. One is a pretty good video of a mediocre autocross run. (there's even running commentary on my driving if you listen closely) It's me in Salina, KS on April 1, 2001. The video is 58 seconds long (a complete run) and the file is over 8mb in size. You'd be wise to right click the link and save the file to avoid ever having to download it again should you want to watch it later.

And here's a little tidbit left over from my old website. Talks about all of the cars I owned before I bought my Miata. It was written in about 1998, so it's a little out of date. But it's got details and photos of all of my automotive excursions... some of which would be better forgotten. But anyway... here's my Car History. By the way, all the links on the page are mouse-overs, you don't need to click them.

Oops, almost forgot to include a picture of my cat. Her name is "Dude". (When trying to talk a non-cat-person into letting you get a cat, it helps to pick out a cool name first! And when picking out that cat, it helps if she has really pretty eyes!)
